Pediatrics is an application with the aid of tools at pediatric medical practical
The “ Pediatria ” mobile application has a set of features that aim to assist pediatric doctors in a set of tasks that repeatedly perform in the performance of their duties.
“ Pediatria ” has several useful features in a hospital environment, as well as features for a pediatric consultation environment.
Then each of the application features are presented, as well as a brief explanation of each of them:
“Dopamine - Dobutamine”: Provided the patient's weight, a table with dilution and rhythm is presented to obtain the desired perfusion.
“Neonatology drugs”: This tool allows the calculation of the doses of the most widely used drugs in neonatology, already calculated for weight, gestational age, postnatal age, and other specific conditions of the newborn.
“Pediatric doses calculation”: calculator of dosages of pharmaceutical forms, in oral solution, for pediatric ages.
“Percentage of fat mass”: provided some anthropometric data, the percentage of body fat masses is obtained.
“Estimated height”: From the height of the parents, the expected final height for the child is obtained.
“Anthropometry percentiles”: This tool allows you to obtain percentiles of weight up to 10 years, length/height and BMI up to 19 years old, cephalic perimeter up to 5 years. It also allows the 2013 Fenton Curves to determine premature anthropometry percentiles at birth (up to 36 weeks) or their post Christmas evolution (up to 50 weeks of post-methanstrual age).
“Percentiles of arterial tension”: The percentiles of arterial tension, adjusted to age and height are presented.
“Unit converter”: This tool allows the conversion of the most used Pediatria units.
“Renal Function”: Provides results from various renal function parameters.
“Traumatic lumbar puncture?”: Helps in the interpretation of the cytological examination of a traumatic lumbar puncture.
“Transfusion of Rubber Bloods in Newborns”: Provides indications of transfusion of rubber blood cells into newborns.
“Date calculator”: Performs calculations of perinatal ages, namely probable delivery date, post -menstrual age and corrected age.
“Icteria”: provides indications for the use of phototherapy and/or EXT in the treatment of neonatal jaundice.
“Umbilical catheters”: indicates the measure of the introduction of umbilical catheters, for a correct positioning according to the size of the newborn.
“Energy Needs”: In this tool the normal energy needs are calculated, as well as a child hospitalized in UCI and postoperative infant basal.
“Base Acid”: The interpretation of base acid equilibrium values is made and the value of the anonymous gap is presented. It is also possible to view comments regarding the gas values, view the value of the BE, the value of the Bicarbonate deficit correction and the value of the Winters formula.
This application constituted the scope of my master's dissertation that intended to result in a tool that responded to specific needs for the consultation / hospitalization of users of pediatric age. It was also the objective that this application added an asset to the existing applications in the different “application stores to the date”.
